FUTSAL LEAGUE RULES 1. 2x20 minutes half with 5 minute halftime 2. 5V5 with Goalkeeper. 3. Subs unlimited, subs can be made on dead balls after telling the ref about the sub. 4. No offsides 5. No goalkeeper punts 6. slide tackles allowed 7. players need flat shoes or indoor shoes. 8. No Throw-ins from the sidelines. Instead, the ball is placed on the ground and passed into a teammate with the foot. The ball needs to be stopped completely before kicking into play. 9. Free kicks and corners the opposing team have to be minimum of 5 steps away from the ball 10. in a penalty kick, all players behind half field line except for the penalty kicker. 11. Play resumes with a kick-in if the ball hits the ceiling. 12. Goals cannot be scored direct from a kick-in 13. For kick-ins, free-kicks, goal clearances and corner kicks, the player in possession of the ball has five seconds to restart play, which the referee will count with their fingers in the air. If play isn't restarted within four seconds an indirect free kick will be awarded to the opposing team. 14. Players are dismissed for two yellow cards or a direct red and take no further part in the game, straight red card is 1 game suspension. Following a sending-off, the penalized team play one man short for 2 minutes, unless they concede (score) during that time in which case, they return to full strength immediately. The player that was sent off, however, cannot be used again. 15. The game will end if one of the teams only has 3 or less players in the field. 16. Minimum of 4 players to start the game, or it will be both of the coach’s decision to start play with less than 4 players. 17. A team has committed five fouls in one half, for every subsequent foul their opponents get a free shootout, at half-time both foul counts are wiped clean, but they are not erased prior to either extra-time period, where second-half fouls still count. 18. If a penalty kick or shootout is given to the losing team after the time has expired, the game will end after the penalty kick or shootout is taken. The penalty kicker (U8 & up) only has one step to kick the ball. 19. In the playoff rounds in case of tie, there will be 3 penalty shooters per team and after that it will go to sudden death. 20. teams involved in a fight will be disqualified from the league. 21. no player can play in 2 teams, even if it’s in a different age group. 22. All players must have numbers in the back of the uniform (jersey)
