Sobre Herbert W. Armstrong College

Herbert W. Armstrong College was established in 2001. AC is a privately supported co-educational institution offering courses in theology, liberal arts, and applied arts and sciences. The college's objective is to teach its students how to live. With thousands of universities teaching how students might earn a living, AC teaches skills, concepts and values that lead to success in life, not just the workplace. The AC education helps prepare young men and women for worthwhile service to God and humanity.

The curriculum and activities at AC are geared toward helping students achieve their God-given potential. AC strives to develop every facet of one's being: mental, physical, emotional, psychological and—most importantly—spiritual. That is why the AC experience is based upon the Christian Bible, and its educational aim is founded on Scripture. The Word of God is the foundation of all knowledge. Thus, the Bible is used as the foundation for AC's liberal arts education.

That is what makes AC so unique. The world's educational systems are blinded to God's truth (2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 12:9). Ignoring revelation, man has established modern education on the unproven theory of evolution. This false foundation is the reason modern education has descended into radical individualism and widespread materialism.

With the Bible as its guide AC frees itself from these godless constraints. Jesus taught that truth is what sets us free (John 8:32). At AC, students are taught that real freedom—not so-called "absolute freedom" —is unlocked by the Word of God. The real freedom that Jesus spoke of, cannot be separated from true education. AC offers a liberal arts education that requires methods of learning and knowledge acquisition that liberate people from fear, ignorance, superstition and the dogmas of man.

Students learn the foundational knowledge that is missing from all other educational institutions—revelation from God. In addition to theology, its curriculum includes history, literature, language, social sciences, natural sciences, mathematics, music and physical education.

Herbert W. Armstrong College students participate in a physical education program designed to strengthen bodies, minds and character. The program includes physical education classes, intramural sports and occasional other special activities.

Along with alumni and faculty, students also participate in intramural sports, including basketball, volleyball, softball, touch rugby and flag football. Other physical events include an annual 5K race on the campus, a men’s weight-lifting competition, and a women’s fitness competition. Students and graduates also often participate in the annual Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon.
