  • Minnesota State Fall Pickleball Tournament is an outdoor pickleball event for doubles teams. Location of the 2021 tournament will be in St. Anthony Village, MN and additional locations will be added as needed.

    A minimum of 4 teams per division is required for the division to be included in the tournament.

    $60 per team includes a free athletic cooling towel for each player, covers court rentals and insurance costs, and includes a Social Hour at the Twin Cities 400 Tavern on Friday, Sept 17 (details will be shared closer to the event). Each team is guaranteed 5 games, including 3 pool play games and 2 games in single elimination bracket play.

  • The tournament format will consist of a minimum of 3 pool play games (11 points, win by 1), followed by single elimination bracket play based on pool ranking. Ranking determined automatically by the website according to winning percentage > head to head > point difference. Bracket play will consist of the best 2 of 3 games (11 points, win by 2). 3rd games (if necessary) will be rally scoring in Round of 16 and Quarterfinal rounds, and regular scoring for Semi-final and Final rounds. All games are officiated by the individuals playing and must make their own calls. This is an unsanctioned tournament. Official tournament ball is the Franklin X40 outdoor ball. Balls will be provided and will be used for all games. There will be prizes for the top 3 finishers in each division, and prizes for Most Clever Team Name, Best Team Uniform and Most Fun to Play (voted on by participants). In the event of rain, we will make every effort to resume play as soon as possible within the timeframe of our court reservation. Players should plan to be available to play on Sept 18th or Sept 19th in the event of rain. Water Tower Park does have lights in the case of an extended rain delay. We will communicate all updates and any decisions with you during a rain delay via email or text. In some cases, if we are not able to resume play safely the event may be canceled and refunds will not be available. Refunds will also not be available if play times change due to weather and you or your partner are not available to play. Substitutions are allowed with approval from the tournament manager.
