The Fort Hood Youth Sports & Fitness (YS&F) program is under the auspices of Child & Youth Services (CYS) Division, through the Family, Morale, Welfare & Recreation Command (Family & MWR). The YS&F program proudly offers activities for military-affiliated children of all ages, 3-18 years old. We offer a variety of individual and organized sports and fitness activities to enhance the social, emotional and physical development of kids through fun, organized and safe quality programming. The YS&F program offers sports that includes, soccer, flag football, baseball, run club, tennis, wrestling, volleyball, golf, cheerleading and basketball.
The YS&F program services 3,500 children and youth each year, with an average of 30 cleared volunteers. Each summer, the program hosts numerous sports clinics to pique the interests of youth. Additionally, the YS&F program offers exciting and fun-filled trips to various sporting events throughout the year - NBA, college football games, bubble-fun runs, to name a few. The YS&F program also conducts functional fitness and outreach activities to the child care centers on post, and to numerous middle school and high schools located in the surrounding school district. The YS&F program also offers special events such as the Punt, Pass & Kick event, Jr. NBA program, Pitch, Hit & Run and Adaptive Sports day.
