Thank you for attending and participating in the 8th Annual Don "Pompee" Pompelia-John F. Kennedy Catholic School Youth Basketball Tournament.

The girls tournament is Wednesday, February 5-Sunday, February 23. The boys tournament is Saturday, February 22-Sunday, March 1. Please contact Greg Valent at gvalent@warrenjfk.com for more details.

History: Started in 2013 by JFK coach Shawn Pompelia with boys 5th and 6th grade divisions, the tournament has now grown to 7 divisions including girls and grade levels from 3-6. The 2019 tournament had 3,000 fans attend to support 39 teams at 70 games. The 2020 tournament had 3,500 fans attend 79 games supporting 44 teams!

About Don "Pompee" Pompelia: Don was not only coach Shawn's father, but he was an ardent booster of JFK athletics for over 4 decades. "Pompee" was an instrumental figure in the development of both the football and basketball programs, becoming a leader in the Goaliners and Goaltenders booster organizations. His influence continues today as we honor his courage, integrity and dedication through the spirit of this tournament.

All of the revenue from this tournament will go to support youth athletics in our K-8 programs. We do not charge a team admission fee for the tournament so we encourage all parents to invite your family, friends and neighbors to attend the tournament and support this worthy cause.
