The National Basketball League (NBL) is a men's professional basketball league in Australasia. It has ten teams, nine from Australia and one from New Zealand. This league is the top professional men's basketball league in Australia and New Zealand. The NBL was played in the Australian winter until 1998, when it changed to summer seasons starting with the 1998–99 season. The regular season runs from September to February, and each team plays 33 games. The finals take place from March to April, ending with the Championship grand final series.
