About Putnam City Optimist Youth Sports

The Putnam City Optimist Club was started for one reason, to share the joy of sports with the children of the local community.  Throughout the years, many children have enjoyed the programs and all of its many benefits. 

Each year Putnam City Optimist accommodates approximately 5000 youths in Football, Softball and Baseball.  Baseball is played in the Dolese Park at 4600 N.W. 50th, Softball and Football are played at 8601 N. W. 50th.   Alcohol, drugs and tobacco are not allowed on these properties.  PCO has gained the reputation for providing a good safe place to play.  We work to fulfill our civic duty to the community and our moral duty to the youth who participate in our programs.

Available Ages:
6U (T-Ball/Modified)
8U (Coach Pitch)
10U - 12U - 14U - H.S. 16/18U (Fast pitch)

League games will be played on Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday nights
Schedule layout will be determined by total number of teams. Age groups with ten or more teams may be divided into two separate divisions by participating in a preseason round robin. These age groups will consist of Division I and Division II teams. Our goal is to schedule games for each age/division on same day each week (double headers if possible).

*All League Games to be 70 minute finish the inning with one ITB if necessary for 10U and older. (Game times are as follows: 6:15pm & 7:35pm.)

8U Coach Pitch: $350 per team
10U thru H.S. Fastpitch: $450 per team

League games will be played on Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday nights
Schedule layout will be determined by total number of teams. Age groups with ten or more teams may be divided into two separate divisions by participating in a preseason round robin. These age groups will consist of Division I and Division II teams. Our goal is to schedule games for each age/division on same day each week (double headers if possible).

*All League Games to be 70 minute finish the inning with one ITB if necessary for 10U and older. (Game times are as follows: 6:15pm & 7:35pm.)

Spring League Fees
6U T-ball/Modified: $20 per player
8U Coach Pitch: $350 per team
10U thru H.S. Fastpitch: $450 per team
