規則2024 TDYCC Summer Basketball League Rules
1. Games
a. Each team will be guaranteed (5) league games.
b. Top (4) teams will make the playoffs in the 10U and 12U divisions. 1 seed plays 4th, 2nd seed plays 3rd. Winner play in the championship

* Top (5) will make the playoffs in the 14U division.
4th and 5th seed teams will play each other. Winner plays 1st seeded team, 2nd and 3rd seed will play each other. Winners play in the championship.

2. Length of Games
a. 12U and 14U will play (4) eight-minute quarters.
10U will play (4) seven- minute quarters.
The clock will stop under (1) minute in
the 1 st and 3 rd quarter, and under (2) minutes in the 2 nd and 4th quarters.
b. (3) Minute halftime.
c. (4) Timeouts per game; (2) full timeouts and (2) thirty-second timeouts.
d. Overtime will be (3) minutes. The clock will stop at every whistle with (1)
minute remaining. Teams are granted only (1) full timeout in the overtime period.
Any remaining timeouts from the end of regulation play will NOT carry over.
3. Forfeit Time
a. Forfeit time is (12) minutes after the scheduled start time. The clock will begin
to run (5) minutes after the scheduled start time. The opposing team will grant a point per minute
until the end of the first regulation period ends. Game clock will stop once 4 or more players are "dressed to play" (League shirt, shorts and sneakers).
b. Two forfeits will eliminate your team/organization from league play without a
refund.
c. Teams will be allowed to start the game with (4) players but must have a (5th )
a player present to start the (2nd ) half.
4. Teams and Players
a. All players must be age-appropriate .
b. Proof of age is not required however; league directors and administrators
reserve the right to ask for proof of age at any point during the league.
c. Players cannot be past the age limit before the beginning of play Ex) 10U
players cannot turn 11 before July 4th, 2024.
d. Teams are allowed up to (12) players on a roster. Rosters must be finalized and
handed to the league director at the beginning of a team’s first game. That
roster will hold true for the remainder of the league. Once a player receives his
league shirt with a number on it, that player shall wear the same number in
each contest.
e. Players are allowed to play in (2) divisions. Players are NOT allowed to play
on (2) teams within the same division.
f. Each player must play in at least (2) regular-season games to be eligible to play
in the playoffs. NO exceptions.
5. Uniforms
a. Players must wear the shirts that are supplied by TDYCC summer league 2024.
b. A (2) shot administrative technical will be assessed for every infraction. Ex) If a
team shows up with (2) players without a shirt, the opposing team will shoot (4)
free throws to start the game.
6. Fouls/Sportsmanship
a. A player will foul out upon receiving (5) personal fouls.
b. The 1 &1 Team bonus is in effect at (7) team fouls. The double bonus is in effect
at (10) team fouls.
c. Here at the Theodore D. Young Community Center, we have a strict zero-tolerance
rule for our youth (10U, 12U, and 14U boys and girls players). If a
player receives a technical foul, that player will sit out the remainder of the half
he/she receives the technical foul in.
d. Coaches will be responsible for their fans and parents. Good conduct and
sportsmanship must remain a priority at ALL times. In the event of an
uncontrollable fan or parent, they will be escorted off the premises.
7. Officials
A. They are called officials because they have the authority to maintain a competitive
yet respectable playing environment. If you have questions regarding a call, you
have every right to approach him/her in a respectful manner. It is very simple; the
coach sets the tone for his players/parents and fans. When the coach understands
the principle of mutual respect, he or she is more likely to be in control of his
players and their parents.
8. Pool Play Tie Breaker
a. In any situation where teams are tied, the head-to-head contest winner will take priority.
If a head-to-head matchup did not take place, a point differential tie-breaker will be
applied. The point differentials of the teams involved in the tie are totaled. Teams are
then ranked according to the sum of the point differential. Upon a forfeit, the point
differential will be as follows: +15 for the winning team, 0 for the forfeiting team.
9. Press Rule
a. Teams ahead by 20 points or more at any point in the contest must play defense behind
half-court. First offense: Warning. Second and all additional offenses: (2) shot
administrative technical
b. 10U TEAMS CAN ONLY PRESS DURING STOP TIME! Which is the last minute in the 1st and 3rd period, as well as the last 2 minutes in the 2nd and 4th period.
c. 10U teams ahead by 15 points or more at any point in the contest can no longer press and must play defense inside the 3 point line or below the 45 ft line (3 quarters court).
