WSL Coed Weekly Outlook/Recaps
WSL Coed Summer 2026 Outlook
Last summer gave the Wadhams Softball League a coed season to remember. The regular season race had two absolute heavyweights at the top, but when it mattered most, Exhibit slammed the door on everybody. A dominant 22-1 regular season turned into a playoff championship run, officially making Exhibit the undisputed kings of the 2025 summer season. Meanwhile, Sinda and the Bums made noise of their own by capturing the lower playoff championship and proving there was depth throughout the league.
But 2026 feels different.
The league lost seven teams from last season, including powerhouse Hit Talkers, gritty squads like Sluggernauts and S&B Lawncare, and battlers such as Hitmen and Balls and Strikes. That much turnover completely reshapes the balance of power.
Now the question becomes: who takes advantage of the reset?
⸻
The Favorites
Exhibit
2025 Record: 22-1
The defending champs enter the year with the biggest target in the league. Last season wasn’t just dominance — it was controlled destruction. They finished with a +161 run differential and looked untouchable most nights.
The scary part? Their identity travels well into another season. They don’t rely on gimmicks. They hit top-to-bottom, rarely beat themselves defensively, and they know how to close games late.
Every team is chasing them until proven otherwise.
2026 Outlook:
Still the championship favorite. Anything less than another Finals appearance would be viewed as a disappointment.
⸻
Shake and Bake
2025 Record: 17-7
Shake and Bake quietly had a very strong season last year, but they were overshadowed by Exhibit and Hit Talkers dominating headlines. Now with Hit Talkers gone, this team suddenly steps into the spotlight.
They’ve got experience, chemistry, and one of the better offensive attacks returning to the league. If their pitching tightens up and they avoid defensive lapses, they’re fully capable of challenging Exhibit for the top spot.
Biggest Question:
Can they consistently beat elite teams instead of just beating the middle tier?
2026 Outlook:
Legitimate title contender.
⸻
Juicy
2025 Record: 16-8
Juicy always feels dangerous because of how explosive they can get offensively. They’re the type of team that can score 15 runs in two innings and completely bury opponents before they settle in.
The issue last season was consistency against stronger competition. But with league turnover creating more parity, this could be the season they finally break through into championship territory.
2026 Outlook:
Dark horse contender with upset potential against anybody.
⸻
The Wild Cards
Recovery Happens
2025 Record: 9-14
Nine wins doesn’t jump off the page, but Recovery Happens played better than their record suggested at times last year. Their offense showed flashes, and if they improve defensively, they could become a middle-of-the-pack headache nobody enjoys facing.
They feel like the team most likely to surprise people early.
2026 Outlook:
Potential playoff sleeper.
⸻
BWROC
2025 Record: 5-19
The numbers last year were rough. Very rough. But new seasons in coed softball can flip quickly, especially when league rosters change heavily year-to-year.
BWROC doesn’t need to become elite overnight. They just need to become competitive inning-to-inning. If they can steal confidence early, they may shock some people.
2026 Outlook:
Trying to climb out of the bottom tier and become respectable.
⸻
The Newcomers
Couch Potatoes
The name sounds laid back. The expectations shouldn’t be.
New teams are always unpredictable because chemistry can either collapse immediately or become dangerous fast. If they’ve got experienced players from other leagues, they could instantly compete.
2026 Outlook:
Total mystery team.
⸻
Sheeeesshh
Potentially the most entertaining team name in the league already.
Expansion teams usually struggle early adjusting to league pitching and defensive consistency, but if they bring athleticism and energy, they could become one of the tougher outs in the middle of the season.
2026 Outlook:
Boom-or-bust newcomer.
⸻
HR Violations
If your team name is HR Violations, people expect offense. Period.
This feels like the type of team that’s either going to mash softball after softball into the trees… or strike out trying to hit five-run homers every inning.
Either way, they’ll probably be entertaining.
2026 Outlook:
High-upside wildcard.
⸻
Pitches Be Crazy
2025 Fall Record: 7-3 (3rd Place)
This might quietly be the most dangerous new team entering the league.
Unlike the other newcomers, Pitches Be Crazy already proved they can compete in WSL environments. A 7-3 fall season isn’t accidental. They’ve got familiarity, confidence, and momentum entering summer ball.
Do not be surprised if this team immediately becomes a contender.
2026 Outlook:
Best newcomer in the league entering the season.
⸻
Bat Attitude
Another complete unknown, but new teams with confidence can become dangerous quickly in coed leagues.
If they defend well and avoid giving away innings, they could hang around games early.
2026 Outlook:
Potential spoiler team.

Week 1 Predictions
Recovery Happens @ BWROC
A battle between two teams trying to rewrite last season’s narrative.
Recovery Happens showed more offensive life in 2025, while BWROC struggled to keep games under control defensively. Unless BWROC made massive offseason improvements, Recovery Happens enters with the edge.
Prediction:
Recovery Happens sweeps
⸻
Sheeeesshh @ HR Violations
This feels like a classic Week 1 chaos game. Two unknown teams, no established chemistry yet, and probably a lot of offense.
Prediction:
Split
⸻
Couch Potatoes @ Pitches Be Crazy
This is the sneaky matchup of opening week.
Pitches Be Crazy already has WSL experience and proved themselves in fall ball. That gives them a huge advantage over a brand-new squad still figuring things out.
Prediction:
Pitches Be Crazy sweeps
⸻
Juicy @ Exhibit
Instant heavyweight matchup in Week 1.
Juicy absolutely has enough offense to make this competitive, but Exhibit enters with championship chemistry and experience. Until somebody proves they can knock them off, Exhibit gets the benefit of the doubt.
Prediction:
Exhibit sweeps

WSL Coed Summer 2026 — Week 1 Recap
“The Champs Are Still the Champs.”
Week 1 of the 2026 WSL Coed Summer season delivered exactly what opening day softball should: statement wins, revenge games, new-team chaos, and one brutally clear message from the defending champions.
Exhibit didn’t just start the season undefeated. They started the season angry.
Meanwhile, HR Violations and BWROC split competitive opening doubleheaders, Recovery Happens showed fight despite inconsistency, and Sheeeesshh learned quickly that welcome-to-the-league moments hit hard in Wadhams.
One thing also became official before first pitch: Couch Potatoes have dropped from the league, shrinking the field and slightly reshaping the early playoff outlook moving forward.
Now let’s get into Week 1.
Game 1
Recovery Happens 10, BWROC 6
Recovery Happens opened the 2026 season looking sharper than they did for large stretches of 2025. The bats were active early, the defense held together when it needed to, and they controlled most of the game’s tempo.
BWROC had moments offensively, but too many missed opportunities kept them from fully climbing back into it.
The biggest difference? Recovery Happens capitalized on innings when runners were on base. BWROC left too much meat on the bone offensively.
Key Takeaway:
Recovery Happens looked improved. More composed. More competitive.
Game 2
Sheeeesshh 3, HR Violations 1
Low-scoring softball in WSL Coed usually means one thing: defense actually showed up.
Sheeeesshh surprised people immediately with a gritty opening win over HR Violations. Instead of the expected home-run derby, this turned into a defensive grinder with timely hitting deciding the outcome.
For a brand-new team, Sheeeesshh looked organized and calm under pressure.
HR Violations, meanwhile, probably spent the game trying to figure out how a team named “HR Violations” only scored one run.
That joke is already unavoidable.
Key Takeaway:
Sheeeesshh may be more balanced than expected.
Game 3
BWROC 15, Recovery Happens 10
This was one of the biggest surprises of opening day.
After dropping the first matchup, BWROC completely flipped the script in Game 2 and exploded offensively. The bats came alive, the energy shifted, and suddenly Recovery Happens had no answers defensively.
BWROC scored 15 runs after only putting up 6 in the opener — a massive turnaround within hours.
That kind of response matters mentally. Teams that used to fold after losses are now fighting back.
Key Takeaway:
BWROC already matched 20% of last season’s win total in one afternoon.
That’s progress.
Game 4
HR Violations 9, Sheeeesshh 2
And just like that, HR Violations found their offense.
After a frustrating first game, HR Violations responded exactly how experienced teams should: aggressively. The bats woke up immediately, pressure built inning after inning, and Sheeeesshh couldn’t repeat the defensive magic from Game 1.
This split felt important for both teams.
HR Violations avoided the disaster of an 0-2 opening day, while Sheeeesshh proved they can absolutely compete despite being new to the league.
Key Takeaway:
HR Violations may become one of the league’s most unpredictable teams week-to-week.
Main Event Doubleheader
Exhibit vs Juicy
This was supposed to be the marquee matchup of Week 1.
Instead, it turned into a reminder that Exhibit still lives on a different level than most of the league.
Game 5
Exhibit 19, Juicy 8
Juicy came in hoping their offense could go punch-for-punch with the defending champs.
That lasted briefly.
Exhibit’s lineup looked relentless from top to bottom. No free outs. Constant pressure. Every inning felt dangerous. By the middle innings, the game already felt out of reach.
Juicy scored 8 runs — which normally keeps you competitive in coed softball — but against Exhibit, 8 runs felt like 2.
Key Takeaway:
Exhibit’s offense somehow looks even deeper than last season.
That’s terrifying for the rest of the league.
Game 6
Exhibit 23, Juicy 10
The defending champs followed up a 19-run performance by hanging 23 in the second game.
That is not normal softball production.
Exhibit left Week 1 with:
- 2-0 record
- 42 runs scored
- +24 run differential
- League-best offense
- Immediate control of first place
Juicy deserves credit for continuing to battle offensively, but the defensive gaps became impossible to survive against a lineup as complete as Exhibit’s.
Key Takeaway:
Everybody entered 2026 asking whether Exhibit would still dominate after offseason league turnover.
Week 1 answered that question quickly.
Yes.
Week 1 Power Pulse
Tier 1 — The Standard
Exhibit (2-0)
Until somebody proves otherwise, this is still their league.
42 runs in two games is absurd.
Tier 2 — Solid Start
HR Violations (1-1)
Recovered well after a sluggish opener.
BWROC (1-1)
Arguably the most encouraging performance of the week considering last season.
Recovery Happens (1-1)
Competitive, but still searching for consistency.
Tier 3 — Still Evaluating
Sheeeesshh (1-1)
Promising debut despite offensive struggles.
Juicy (0-2)
Record looks ugly, but losing to Exhibit twice isn’t exactly a season killer.
