Castlefield Cup 2018

  • The Castlefield Champions Cup is an annual miniroos invitational tournament first hosted in 2002 run by the Sandringham Soccer Club at the end of the winter season. It is now into it's 22nd rendition.

    This year sees 60 teams competing across 8 divisions of 6 (1 pools of 6 teams) or 8 teams (2 pools of 4 teams). The age groups are U8 to U11 and there are separate competitions for boys and girls. Each team involved plays a series of 3 round robin matches with semi-finals followed by grand finals at their completion.

    The competition is run over one day, with all matches played at our Spring Street venue.

    All games will consist of 15-minute halves with a five-minute half-time break.

    Maximum squad size is:
    · 11 for U8 and U9
    · 13 for U10 and U11

    We do not allow over-age players to play in a team; a player MUST be of the correct age for their age group or younger.

    Football Victoria MiniRoos rules apply for all age groups. Games are officiated by our Budding Referees.
