Basketball Rules 1st/2nd Grade: Games will be 10 minute halves with a running clock Halftime will be 3 minutes 1- 30 second timeout per half Goals will be 8 feet Balls- 27.5 Junior ball Zone or man defense is allowed. Defensive players can pick up offensive players at the 3-point line. Free throws will be shot at the 2nd dash from the basket. No stealing is permitted, however if the offensive player loses the ball then the defensive player can recover it. This is a recreational league, so please try to get players in at your discretion. All playing time doesn’t have to be equal, but give them some playing time.
