Hello Players!

As we wrap up another fantastic run on the tables, it is incredible to look back at how far we’ve come. Our community continues to grow, housing a massive range of talent—from those just getting started to those we are sad to see move on. While we are bidding a fond farewell to six players this session, we are thrilled to welcome seven new players to the roster!

With a confirmed roster of 24 players, we are moving into our most refined format yet. To keep this growth sustainable, we will be moving forward with the following plan for the upcoming session.

📅 Weekends

The move to splitting our schedule across Saturdays and Sundays has been a huge success. By spreading out our matches, we’ve managed to give everyone their table time without overcrowding the bar. We will continue this format to ensure the league remains a welcome guest at KBs while we enjoy our free table time.

However, please note a slight shift in this routine: KBs will be hosting a recurring one-pocket tournament that will occupy the tables for the duration of the day on certain Saturdays. While these will occur monthly or less, the first one is already scheduled for the Saturday of our opening week. On these specific weekends, we will pivot from our split schedule and move all matches to Sunday. This offers a unique opportunity for the entire league to gather at once, making it the perfect time for everyone to meet the seven new players joining us.

🛡️ Solids & Stripes

The feedback on splitting the roster into the Solids and Stripes groups has been overwhelmingly positive. With 24 players, we will have two perfectly balanced divisions of 12 players each. This format creates better competition and allows you to test your mettle against similar skill levels.

💸 Streamlined Payments

A huge thank you to everyone for adopting the up-front Zelle payments. It has made the administrative side of the league much cleaner and ensures the prize pools are locked in from Day 1. We will continue this all-in, up-front payment requirement for all future sessions.

🚪 New Player Dropout Policy

We have added an official Player Dropout Policy to our league rules to better protect the integrity of the season and your prize pool. Because each entry represents a shared stake in the session’s pot, all fees are now non-refundable. If an opponent drops out mid-session, your ranking remains protected and is calculated based on win percentage, ensuring no one is penalized for a reduced match count.

🏆 An Exciting Change - The Annual Grand Final

Forget session-end sprints - we are now playing for the Crown. We are doing away with small, per-session playoffs to make room for something much bigger. We will run 3 regular sessions (Spring, Summer, and Fall) ending before Thanksgiving. Then, in the window between Thanksgiving and Christmas, we will hold the Grand Finals.

Why you should be excited:

• The Championship Vault: 10% of every session's prize pool is reserved for a massive year-end jackpot.
• The Prize Fund: Based on our 24-player roster, we anticipate a Grand Final prize pool of over $1,000.
• The Elite Twelve: Only 12 players (6 from Solids, 6 from Stripes) qualify for the Grand Final. You can punch your ticket by winning a session or by being a consistent points leader throughout the year.
• The "Super Bowl" Drama: The playoffs will be a 4-day, bracketed event. Top points leaders receive a "Bye" in round 1 and it all ends with the Solids Champion vs. the Stripes Champion for the overall title.

📈 Spring 2026

To ensure a high level of play while protecting your weekends, the Spring session will utilize a balanced 10-match schedule spread across 12 weeks. This includes 8 divisional matchups and 2 cross-group challenges, with 2 built-in bye weeks for flexibility.

Entry Details: Total dues are $120, which covers your $10 match fee for the prize pool and a $2 contribution per match to a KB’s Charity Fund. Send your dues to Jerry with Zelle @ ‪(678) 469-4339 right away.
