The TC CUP is our Regional playoff tournament where all Region 98's U10-U14 teams compete to win the championship and earn a berth to participate in AYSO Area 1C post-season play.

Tournament Dates

November 12-21, 2024, with matches being played on both Saturdays and weeknights.  Friday and Saturday, November 22 & 23 will be used in case a make-up day is required.

What's At Stake

Two teams from each division will advance in post-season play to represent Temple City in the AYSO Area 1C Playthrough Tournament.  These two teams are known as the Region Champion and the Region Runner-Up.

The Region Champion is determined by the team that is ranked 1st in their divisional standings at the conclusion of the regular Fall Core season.  The Region Runner-Up is determined by the team that wins the TC CUP Tournament. Should the Region Champion win the TC CUP, the tournament runner-up will become the Region Runner-Up team.

Team Eligibility

All 10U,12U and 14U teams are eligible, except for:

(1) Teams that don't have a coach who has completed all his/her certifications by November 1.  This includes:

  • Passing an annual background check (Risk Status)
  • Completing the required Safe Haven online modules (AYSO Safe Haven, CDC Concussion, & Sudden Cardiac Arrest)

TC CUP Guidelines

Coaches, referees, parents and players should begin becoming familiar with the TC Cup Guidelines before the start of the tournament so you can ask questions regarding situations before they happen during your games.

Good Sportsmanship

As exciting as our TC CUP games will be, we all must remember that we will still be abiding by our Zero Tolerance On Referee Abuse.   Teams can be subjected to expulsion from TC Cup due to coaches and/or spectator ejections.

Additionally, coaches must abide by the player requirements as stated in the TC CUP Guidelines. Failure by coaches to abide by the player requirements, or failure of not properly marking game cards will be cause for forfeiture.

Refereeing

In order to insure our TC Cup tournament's success, we will continue to count on each and every team's cooperation throughout the tournament.  All teams must be prepared to provide one (1) assistant referee the following game (or the first game of the day/night if your game was the last of the day/night). The Region will be assigning experienced center referees for all TC Cup games.

Schedule Adjustments

In order to avoid game conflicts for our multi-team coaches, some game times may be changed.  Multi-team coaches should, however, be prepared to have their assistant coaches lead a team in the event that a later-round conflict arises between their two teams.
